Kogi State Governorship Election: Real-time Updates from Polling Units

The process of collating and announcing results has commenced at polling units across Kogi State, as the off-circle governorship elections take place as scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The elections, which were also scheduled to take place in Bayelsa and Imo states, are being closely monitored by Media Talk Africa.

Following the conclusion of voting in several polling units, INEC officials promptly began the announcement of results at the polling unit levels. Reports gathered by Media Talk Africa indicate that the election in Kogi State has been largely peaceful.

At Polling Unit 069, Crowder 2, Open Place in Ward 01 within Lokoja Local Government Area, voting has concluded, and the ballots have been duly counted. The results are as follows:

  • AA – 1
  • ADC – 3
  • APC – 38
  • PDP – 15
  • SDP – 23
