Coalition Issues Public Apology to Rep Over Viral Video on Plateau Election Judgements

The Coalition of Middle Belt Groups has made a public apology to Hon. Yusuf Gagdi, a member of the House of Representatives, retracting their previous accusation of his influence on the Court of Appeal judgements regarding the Plateau State elections.

In a dramatic turn of events, the group has shifted the blame to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for distorting facts and leading them astray with misinformation.

Dr. Ben Omale, the convener of the group, clarified that their initial position was rooted in a hasty interpretation of a video, acknowledging that Gagdi’s statement was misconstrued and misunderstood.

Following meticulous scrutiny of evidence, the group has admitted that their earlier stance was not aligned with the actual reality on the ground.

Omale expressed deep regret over the Coalition’s reliance on a single narrative propagated by the PDP, underscoring the imperative of considering both sides of the story before taking a firm stance.

The group has humbly extended their sincere apologies to Gagdi for the misleading press conference and the potential impact it may have had on his reputation in Plateau state and the entire nation.

Not stopping there, the Coalition has called out the PDP, alleging a “sinister plot” to sow discord and disunity in the polity, urging them to cease their campaigns against the judiciary.

The Coalition emphasized Gagdi’s complete exoneration from any involvement or influence in the Court of Appeal rulings on the Plateau State elections.
