NSCDC gets new commandant in Akwa Ibom

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has appointed Adam Imam as the new commandant of the Akwa Ibom State Command.

A statement by NSCDC Public Relations Officer, Friday Ekerete, made available to journalists in Uyo on Tuesday, stated that Imam, the 14th commandant in the state, took over from Suleiman Mafara who has been redeployed to National Headquarters, Abuja.

According to the statement: “Akwa Ibom State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has received a new state commandant. He is Commandant Adam Yusuf Imam PhD.

“He takes over from Commandant Suleiman Ibrahim Mafara who has been redeployed to NSCDC National Headquarters, Abuja.”
