Manchester United’s New Owner Approves Sale of 11 Players

Manchester United’s latest development sees minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe giving the green light for a significant player overhaul. ESPN reports that 11 first-team players are set to leave the club this summer.

The planned clearout will use the transfer window to offload the following players: Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Casemiro, Raphael Varane, Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof, Jadon Sancho, Donny van de Beek, Brandon Williams, and Facundo Pellistri. Additionally, Anthony Martial’s contract is set to expire in June, making him a free agent.

United’s financial situation is delicate, and the club’s failure to secure a Champions League spot would exacerbate their challenges.
