Gbenga Ogunbote Aims for Continental Ticket as Shooting Stars Extend Unbeaten Run

Shooting Stars’ technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote, is aiming for a continental ticket as the season progresses. The team, also known as the Oluyole Warriors, recently secured a 2-0 victory over Remo Stars in Ibadan, extending their unbeaten streak to six games. Christian Pyagbara was the star of the match, scoring both goals for the home team.

Ogunbote expressed his unwavering belief in his players’ abilities, stating, “When we were in 13th place on the table, I knew we were still in the race. Now, with 12 games left, anything is possible. Our goal is to secure a continental ticket.”

Following their recent victory, Shooting Stars have climbed to sixth place on the table with 40 points. Ogunbote’s strategic guidance and the team’s determination have propelled them towards their goal of continental qualification.
