Gabriel Martinelli Reveals Cristiano Ronaldo as His Childhood Idol

Gabriel Martinelli, the Brazilian and Arsenal winger has named Cristiano Ronaldo as his idol. Martinelli shared that he has admired Ronaldo’s game since childhood, particularly during the Portuguese star’s tenure at Real Madrid.

Martinelli joined Arsenal in 2019 for £6 million from Brazilian club Ituano and has since become a crucial player for the Gunners. At 22, Martinelli has made 174 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 41 goals and providing 24 assists.

In an interview with Madrid Xtra, Martinelli expressed his admiration for Ronaldo, stating, “My idol? I always liked Cristiano Ronaldo. As a child, I watched his games at Real Madrid.”

Martinelli is among a generation of young players inspired by Ronaldo’s illustrious career, highlighting the enduring influence of the Portuguese forward on aspiring footballers worldwide.
