Zirkzee Eyeing Manchester United’s No.9 or No.11 Shirt, But Rasmus Hojlund Has Final Say

Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee Reveals Shirt Number Dilemma

Manchester United’s new signing, Joshua Zirkzee, has expressed his desire to wear either the number 9 or number 11 shirt at the Premier League club next season. However, the Dutch forward has revealed that the decision ultimately rests with his new teammate, Rasmus Hojlund.

Zirkzee, 23, joined Manchester United from Bologna in a £36million deal on Monday, becoming the club’s first signing of the summer. Despite having his eye on the number 9 shirt, he has acknowledged that Hojlund may have a claim to it.

In an interview with YouTube show Supergraande, Zirkzee explained: “That depends a bit on Rasmus Højlund. He’s already there and he’s also a striker. No9 is free, but yeah… He has 11, so I can imagine that he wants no9 now. In that case I’ll take 11. At Bologna I also had 11, so that doesn’t really matter to me.”

The uncertainty surrounding Zirkzee’s squad number has left fans eagerly awaiting the official announcement from Manchester United. With the new season just around the corner, the Dutchman’s decision will have a significant impact on the team’s lineup and strategy.

As Manchester United fans await the confirmation of Zirkzee’s shirt number, one thing is certain – the 23-year-old is eager to make a mark at his new club and contribute to the team’s success.
