The Minnesota Lynx have won five consecutive games, including a 87-74 victory over the Las Vegas Aces on Friday night. Napheesa Collier led the way for the Lynx, scoring 27 points and grabbing a career-high 18 rebounds.

Collier’s impressive performance helped the Lynx take control of the game early, with the team scoring 22 of the first 28 points in the second half to stretch their lead to 62-45. The Aces were unable to mount a comeback, with Jackie Young’s free throw attempt with 6:14 remaining being the closest they got to tying the game.

Collier finished the game 11 of 15 from the field, including 2 of 4 from three-point range, with five assists and two steals. Alanna Smith added 15 points for the Lynx, while Courtney Williams, Natisha Hiedeman, and Kayla McBride each scored 12.

A’ja Wilson led the Aces with 24 points and seven rebounds, while Young and Tiffany Hayes each scored 12. Kelsey Plum finished with 11 points on 4 of 10 shooting.

The Lynx have now won three consecutive games against the Aces, including a 98-87 road victory on Wednesday. Las Vegas has lost four of its last five games, including three of four since returning from a monthlong break for the Paris Olympics.

The Lynx’ winning streak has propelled them to the top of the Western Conference standings, two games ahead of the Seattle Storm. Minnesota will look to continue their winning ways as they face off against other top teams in the league.
