Boboye Disappointed with 0-0 Draw Against Abia Warriors

Disappointment and Determination: Sunshine Stars Coach Reacts to Draw Against Abia Warriors

Sunshine Stars head coach, Kennedy Boboye, has expressed his frustration with the outcome of his team’s home match against Abia Warriors, which ended in a 0-0 draw. Despite having plans to claim maximum points, Boboye believes that the performance of his team was thwarted by the referee’s decisions.

“We had two goals disallowed and a penalty that was not given,” Boboye said in a post-match interview. “It’s still a mirage how these decisions were made. But we have put the outcome of the match behind us, it’s done and dusted, our target now is the next game against Akwa United.”

The former Plateau United coach emphasized that his team will not give up on their goals, despite the disappointing result. “We will fight to regain the lost points in subsequent matches,” he assured. The Owena Waves will have to regroup and recharge for their next encounter against Akwa United, where they will be looking to bounce back from this setback.

The draw against Abia Warriors marked a frustrating end to Sunshine Stars’ home campaign, but Boboye remains optimistic about his team’s chances of turning things around. As they look to the future, the coach will be seeking to address the issues that plagued his team’s performance and capitalize on the lessons learned from this match.
