Following the game, Ronaldo took to social media to celebrate his victory, posting a picture of himself and his teammates with the caption “Hard work pays off. Let’s keep going!” Marcelo, who spent nine years alongside Ronaldo at Real Madrid, responded to his former teammate’s post with a simple yet sincere “And counting…”
Ronaldo and Marcelo enjoyed a successful partnership at Real Madrid, winning four Champions League and two La Liga titles together.
