Samsung Set to Launch One UI 7 Beta by Mid-November

Samsung is gearing up to release One UI 7, its upcoming software upgrade based on Google’s Android 15, in early 2025. Although users will have to wait a few months for the full rollout, the tech giant plans to release a beta version that will give developers and enthusiasts a sneak peek of the new features ahead of the official launch.

According to tipster Ice Universe on X (formerly Twitter), the One UI 7 beta is expected to be available by mid-November. The source has a solid reputation for providing accurate information about Samsung, suggesting that this timeline is credible. The beta was initially anticipated in August but has faced delays, with Samsung now aiming for a release by the end of the year, followed by a stable version next year, likely coinciding with the Galaxy S25 series.

Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series is expected to be the first to benefit from the One UI 7 update. Although the company did not disclose many specifics about the new features during the Samsung Developers Conference, several anticipated enhancements have emerged online.

The One UI 7 update will reportedly introduce redesigned icons for several system applications, including the dialer, messages, gallery, calculator, and clock apps. Improvements in notification management are also on the horizon, particularly for those displayed on the lock screen.

Additionally, One UI 7 is set to incorporate new AI features for the gallery app, allowing users to creatively “restyle” their portrait images. The “Sketch to Image” feature, which debuted in One UI 6.1.1, is expected to extend its availability to more devices with this new update. Furthermore, Samsung Galaxy smartphones will likely gain access to Google’s Homework Help feature, unveiled earlier this year at Google I/O.

As anticipation builds for One UI 7, both developers and users alike are eager to explore the enhancements that will accompany this significant software upgrade.
