Al-Hilal May Terminate Neymar’s Contract After Injury Setbacks

Al-Hilal are reportedly considering ending Neymar’s contract prematurely, according to Saudi outlet Action Ma3 Waleed. The Brazilian forward has struggled with injuries since joining the club in the summer of 2023, with his latest setback prompting the Saudi Arabian club to reevaluate their commitment.

Neymar, who was signed for around €90 million, has faced a difficult spell since his arrival, most notably suffering an ACL injury last year that kept him sidelined for an extended period. After months of recovery, he made his much-anticipated return to action on October 21 in a match against UAE’s Al-Ain. However, just days later, Neymar was forced off the field again, this time 30 minutes into a substitute appearance during an AFC Champions League match against Esteghlal.

As a result, Al-Hilal are reportedly considering terminating Neymar’s two-year contract ahead of schedule in January. This development has raised speculation about Neymar’s future, with rumors linking him to a potential reunion with his former Barcelona teammate, Lionel Messi, at Inter Miami.

The situation remains fluid, and the club’s decision will likely depend on Neymar’s recovery and his ability to return to full fitness.
