Niger Tornadoes technical adviser, Majin Mohammed, has said his team’s narrow victory over Akwa United was not an easy feat.
Papa Daniel scored the winning goal for the home team.
Mohammed praised their opponent for putting up a good fight in the game.
“It was not easy,” Mohammed stated in a post-match interview.
“Knowing well that Akwa United is at the bottom of the table, and most times teams in such positions are always difficult to beat, because while we are struggling to go up, they are equally struggling to come up.”
Niger Tornadoes moved up to fourth position on the log with 17 points following the win.
