UCL: Liverpool receive major injury boost ahead of Real Madrid clash

Liverpool defender, Trent Alexander-Arnold, has returned to training in what is a welcome boost ahead of Wednesday’s clash with Real Madrid.

Alexander-Arnold did not feature in their 3-2 victory at Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday.

The 26-year-old sustained a hamstring problem against Aston Villa on November 9.

“Trent is in the squad but he won’t be available to start,” Liverpool manager, Arne Slot told reporters.

“Maybe he will make a few minutes, but in an ideal world he won’t.”

Federico Chiesa also took part in the training session on Tuesday, as he steps up his return to full fitness.
