Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that new midfielder Nico González will join manager Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
Romano disclosed this in a tweet via his X account on Monday, transfer deadline day.
González is joining Man City from Portuguese giants FC Porto.
“EXCLUSIVE: Nico González to Manchester City, here we go,” Romano tweeted.
“New midfielder for Pep Guardiola as Man City will pay the same amount as the release clause, worth €60m, with a different structure.
“Nico, allowed to travel for medical and contract signing soon. Exclusive story, confirmed.”
Man City have already spent £130m in this January transfer window.
The Cityzens brought in Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov, and Vitor Reis.
