College Football 26 Release Date and New Features Revealed

CFB 26 Set to Revolutionize College Football Gaming with New Features and Coaches

The wait is almost over for college football fans as CFB 26 is scheduled to hit the shelves on July 10. After a successful reboot last year with College Football 25, Electronic Arts (EA) has been working tirelessly to add new features and improvements to the game. One of the most exciting updates is the inclusion of over 300 real-world coaches, including Ole Miss’ Lane Kiffin. This move is expected to bring a new level of authenticity to the game, allowing players to experience the thrill of competing against their favorite teams and coaches.

According to On3 reporter Andy Staples, who had the opportunity to play the game in early access, some coaches’ likenesses have been impressively captured. Staples praised the game’s portrayal of coaches such as Steve Sarkisian, James Franklin, and Manny Diaz, but noted that Lane Kiffin and Bret Bielema’s likenesses fell short. "I played the new EA Sports college football video game today. Coaches whose likenesses they nailed: Steve Sarkisian, James Franklin, Sherrone Moore, Manny Diaz, Brent Pry. Not so much: Lane Kiffin, Bret Bielema," Staples posted on social media.

However, not all college football coaches have agreed to be included in the game. Notable exceptions include Colorado’s Deion Sanders and North Carolina’s Bill Belichick. The Athletic’s Chris Vannini, who played an early edition of CFB 26, noted that these coaches were absent from the game. "Not everyone is signed up, either because they declined or haven’t responded yet," Vannini wrote. "Bill Belichick is not in the game, which is not a big surprise since he didn’t make himself available for Madden either. I also didn’t see Deion Sanders when playing a game as Colorado." The reason for their exclusion is still unclear, but speculation suggests that they may have requested higher compensation for their likeness.

The absence of these high-profile coaches may come as a disappointment to some fans, but EA still has time to negotiate and potentially include them in the game before its release on July 10. With its new features and updated roster of coaches, CFB 26 is shaping up to be an exciting and immersive gaming experience for college football enthusiasts. As the release date approaches, fans can expect more updates and revelations about the game, and Hope that their favorite coaches will be included in the final version.
