Asia Cup 2025: Team India Prepares for Tournament

India’s national cricket team is set to commence their Asia Cup 2025 campaign with a match against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on September 10 in Dubai. Ahead of the tournament, the team participated in a photoshoot, where they were seen having a lighthearted time. A behind-the-scenes video shared by Sony Sports Network showed Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav and pacer Arshdeep Singh sharing humorous moments.

During the photoshoot, Suryakumar Yadav was asked to say “3..2..1” while holding a clapper board, to which he jokingly replied, “Accha, Woh bhi main hi bolu?” (Oh, I should only say that). Arshdeep Singh was also asked about his experience in Dubai, and he responded with a humorous comment, saying “Garmi lag rahi hai bhaiya” (I am feeling hot here).

The Indian team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, will face Pakistan on September 14 and Oman on September 19 in their subsequent group stage matches. India is placed in Group A alongside the UAE, Pakistan, and Oman, while Group B consists of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong. As the defending champions, having won the previous edition in 2023, India will aim to dominate the tournament and secure the title once again.

The Asia Cup 2025 will be the third edition of the tournament to be played in the T20 format, with the previous editions held in 2016 and 2022. India won the 2016 edition, but failed to reach the final in 2022. The team will be looking to improve their performance and reclaim the title in the 2025 edition. With a strong squad and experienced players, India is poised to make a significant impact in the tournament.
