Morocco is introducing an electronic travel authorization, the Autorisation Électronique de Voyage au Maroc (AEVM), to streamline entry for fans attending the 35th Africa Cup of Nations, which will run from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026. The AEVM will be available to nationals of Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gabon, Niger, Senegal, Togo and Tunisia—countries that are already visa‑exempt for Morocco. Eligible travelers can apply online via the YALLA app beginning 25 September 2025, and the service will also issue the required FanID for access to stadiums and fan zones.
For citizens of these eight countries traveling to Morocco for purposes other than the tournament, such as tourism, business or family visits, a different procedure applies. They must submit their AEVM request at least 96 hours before departure through the official portal Access‑Maroc.ma, rather than using the YALLA app.
Certain groups are exempt from the AEVM requirement: holders of diplomatic, service, special or official passports; legal residents in Morocco with valid residency permits; transit passengers who remain in the international airport zone; citizens of the eight countries married to Moroccans (with proof); and individuals aged over 55.
The AEVM via YALLA is a temporary measure, effective from 25 September 2025 until 25 January 2026. After the tournament, entry rules are expected to revert to the standard procedures. This initiative underscores Morocco’s commitment to simplifying travel for African nationals and enhancing the fan experience during the Africa Cup of Nations, promoting regional unity and cooperation through sport.
