The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on individuals interested in joining the party to formalize their membership. Dr. Ladan Salihu, a chieftain of the ADC, explained that this appeal is driven by the party’s desire to make the most of the time leading up to the 2027 elections. Speaking on Arise Television’s “Prime Time” programme, Salihu emphasized that the ADC cannot afford to waste time and must move swiftly to prepare for the upcoming polls.

Salihu clarified that the invitation to join is not limited to Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections. Instead, it is a general call to all chieftains and members of other political parties who are interested in becoming part of the ADC. The party’s goal is to build a strong, committed membership base that can effectively promote its vision and values to the Nigerian electorate.

With the 2027 elections approaching, the ADC is keen to establish a clear direction and strategy. Salihu stressed the importance of putting in the necessary effort to give the party a sense of purpose and direction, believing this will enable the ADC to present itself convincingly to Nigerians as a party capable of delivering real change. By formalizing their membership, individuals can play a crucial role in shaping the party’s future and contributing to its success in the upcoming elections.

The ADC’s call to action reflects its commitment to building a strong and inclusive political movement. As the 2027 elections draw near, the party’s ability to attract and retain new members will be crucial in determining its chances of success. With its sights set on the future, the ADC is gearing up to engage with Nigerians and make its case for why it is the party best equipped to deliver the change the country deserves. As Nigeria’s political landscape continues to evolve, the ADC’s efforts to build a robust, committed membership base will be closely watched by political observers and analysts.
