Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State has revealed that the deplorable condition of the Okpoko area was a major factor in his decision to run for governor in 2022. Soludo recalled his campaign promise to address the challenges faced by Okpoko, stating that he had vowed to commence work in the area immediately after his inauguration. True to his word, the governor visited Okpoko on the day after his swearing-in and has since overseen significant developments, including the construction of over 20 kilometers of roads, installation of street lights, and provision of piped water. Additionally, a hospital has been established in the area, and children are now benefiting from free education.
