Imo police begins enforcement ban on ENTRACO operations, others

The Imo State Police Command has begun enforcing a ban on all activities of the State Environmental Transformation Agency Commission (ENTRACO) and related task forces, as directed by Governor Hope Uzodinma. In a press statement, the command’s spokesperson, DSP Henry Okoye, said the police have fully commenced the enforcement of the suspension and are urging affected staff and allies to comply with the new order.

Commissioner of Police CP Aboki Danjuma has instructed all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Commanders to ensure strict compliance with the ban. The police warned that anyone operating under the name or guise of ENTRACO will be promptly arrested and prosecuted. The command is working closely with the state government to support ongoing investigations into ENTRACO’s activities, including verified complaints of misconduct, extortion, or abuse by its operatives.

Members of the public with credible information or complaints are encouraged to report directly to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) at the Police Headquarters in Owerri. The police have assured the public that they will remain committed to protecting lives and property, upholding the law, and maintaining public confidence during the enforcement process.

The ban on ENTRACO’s activities is a significant development in the state’s efforts to address concerns about the agency’s operations. The police command’s enforcement of the ban aims to ensure that the rule of law is upheld and that citizens’ rights are protected. As investigations continue, further updates are expected. In the meantime, the police are urging citizens to cooperate with enforcement efforts and to report any incidents of misconduct or abuse. This commitment to protecting lives, property, and the law represents a reassuring step toward maintaining public confidence in the state’s security agencies and creating a more secure, stable environment.
