African Democratic Congress Gains Harvard-Trained Advocate

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Imo State has bolstered its membership with the addition of Francis Igwejiuba, a Harvard-trained education advocate. The formal reception ceremony took place at the party’s state secretariat in Owerri, the state capital.

According to a statement issued by the state publicity secretary, Chief Macdonald Amadi, Igwejiuba’s decision to join the party was welcomed by the ADC chairman in Imo State, Professor James Okoroma. Okoroma praised Igwejiuba’s notable contributions to philanthropy and human capital development in Owerri West, describing his decision to join the party as timely and strategic.

Professor Okoroma encouraged Igwejiuba to continue working with the people and leaders of Owerri West, emphasizing the importance of ensuring every polling unit in the area is fully constituted, supervised, and functioning optimally. Igwejiuba, who was accompanied by a large crowd of supporters and party stakeholders from Owerri West Local Government Area, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and commended the party leadership for their unity and purpose.

The event was attended by prominent party members, including Hon. Damian Ezeagu, State Deputy Chairman; Chief Sir MacDonald Amadi, State Publicity Secretary; and Nze Lawrence Nwadike, State Organizing Secretary. Igwejiuba stated that his decision to join the ADC was “divine” and expressed confidence that the party would emerge victorious in future elections, describing the ADC as a brand that the people of Imo State can trust.

The African Democratic Congress has been strengthening its presence in Imo State in recent times, with a focus on building a strong and unified party structure ahead of the 2027 elections. The party’s leadership has been engaging with various stakeholders and community leaders, emphasizing the importance of unity and collective action in achieving its goals. With the addition of Igwejiuba, the party is poised to further expand its reach and influence in the state.
