2027: Tinubu has nothing to fear, can’t be defeated - APC Chair Yilwatda

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, praised President Bola Tinubu, saying he is learning the art of politics from him. Yilwatda made the remark on Saturday after being conferred with the traditional title “Kaeh‑rit” – meaning “the good seed of Ampang East” – in Plateau State. He described Tinubu as an exemplary leader and one of the best politicians in Nigeria, an ideal mentor from whom he has gained valuable knowledge and insights into politics. Yilwatda expressed gratitude for the opportunity, attributing his own success to Tinubu’s guidance.

The APC chairman also commented on Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s recent defection to the party, expressing hope that the move would benefit the state. He emphasized the party’s inclusive membership policy, noting that all members enjoy equal rights within the APC.

This is the second traditional title Yilwatda has received in two weeks, following an honor from the Tiv Nation in Benue State in recognition of his humanitarian services. The latest title underscores his growing influence and reputation in Nigerian politics. As the APC navigates the country’s complex political landscape, Yilwatda’s relationship with President Tinubu is likely to remain a key factor shaping the party’s strategy and direction. The party’s future success, as well as the impact of Governor Mutfwang’s defection and the inclusive membership policy, will be closely watched in the coming months.
