The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State has inaugurated 13-member booth executive committees across the 23 polling units in Ezeama/Okpala Ward 4, signaling an early push to consolidate grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 general Elections.
The exercise, held at the ward level, was led by the Ngor Okpala LGA chairman, Sir Emeka Amajirionwu, and drew party leaders, members, and supporters from across the ward. Amajirionwu expressed satisfaction with the turnout, describing it as a proof of the growing organisational capacity of the party at the grassroots.
Addressing the newly inaugurated executives, Amajirionwu emphasized that effective booth-level structures remain critical to the strength and electoral viability of any political party. He commended the ward leadership and stakeholders for their commitment to expanding the ADC’s presence in the local government area and urged the new officials to intensify mobilisation and outreach within their communities.
Party chieftain Mr John Eke charged the executives to take full ownership of their respective polling units, setting a target of mobilising at least 10 committed voters per unit to actively participate in the electoral process.
The State Deputy Woman Leader, Lady Leticia Okere, highlighted the inclusion of women in the booth executive structures, urging them to leverage their networks and organisational skills to broaden the party’s support base.
Dr. Chigozie Okereke, the Apex Leader of Ezeama/Okpala Ward 4, thanked the party leadership for the visit and called on members to remain steadfast despite prevailing economic hardships. He encouraged supporters to take the party’s message to their communities, describing it as the “good news” of the ADC.
The inauguration forms part of the ADC’s ongoing strategy to deepen voter mobilisation and strengthen its booth-level architecture across Ngor Okpala as the political cycle progresses toward the next general elections.
