Tinubu Applauds Zamfara People for Contributing to His Presidential Election Victory

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has expressed gratitude to the people of Zamfara and the party members for their contributions to his victory in the 2023 Presidential election.

Sen. Kabiru Marafa, who represented Tinubu, appreciated the Zamfara people during an inauguration dinner on Tuesday evening in Abuja that was organised by Marafa.

Tinubu also commended the Presidential Campaign Council, which was coordinated by Marafa in Zamfara, while also showing appreciation to the former Governor of Zamfara, Bello Matawalle, the immediate past governor, Abdulaziz Yari, and other members of the APC.

While acknowledging the support he received during his campaign, Tinubu promised to reward the people who contributed to his victory.

Marafa, the host of the inauguration dinner, expressed the importance of coming together to thank God and the people of Zamfara for ensuring the APC’s victory in the state during the presidential election.

He further stated his confidence and hope in the Nigerian judiciary, especially with regards to the controversial governorship election, which the APC is currently challenging in court.

The Senator also called out party members who he claimed had worked against the APC during the election and warned that the party would take appropriate action against them.

“We will continue to appeal to our President to empower our youth and women so that our state and the country, in general, will be better,” he added.

The Zamfara Presidential election results revealed that Tinubu won 12 out of 14 local government areas in Zamfara, while the PDP’s Atiku Abubakar won two.

Tinubu’s emergence as the victor in Zamfara and Nigeria’s Presidential election is evidence of his acceptance by Nigerians, as he polled a total of 298,396 votes, closely followed by Atiku Abubakar with 193,978 votes.
