Transfer Saga: Mbappe Expresses Shock at PSG Backlash Over Letter

Superstar footballer Kylian Mbappe has responded to the fierce backlash he received from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after sending a letter expressing his intention to leave the club. The 2018 World Cup winner, in a shocking twist, claimed that he didn’t realize a simple letter could elicit such strong reactions.

In his letter, the highly sought-after player conveyed his decision not to extend his contract with PSG beyond 2024, when it is set to expire. However, this announcement has enraged his current club, with reports suggesting that they are now open to selling him during the upcoming summer transfer window.

This sudden turn of events stems from PSG’s desire to avoid losing the talented forward on a free transfer when his contract concludes in June 2024. Incensed by Mbappe’s declaration, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the club president, is reportedly seething with anger towards the striker.

Mbappe has expressed surprise at the intense fury unleashed in response to his letter. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 22-year-old shared, “Honestly, I did not think I was going to offend anyone. I only sent a letter. I didn’t know a letter could kill someone. It’s just a letter. I don’t care about the reactions.”
