Gunmen Open Fire at Jerusalem Bus Stop, Leaving Three Dead and Others Injured

Tragedy struck in Jerusalem as two gunmen unleashed a hail of gunfire at a bus stop, resulting in the loss of three lives and leaving six others injured; five of whom are in critical condition.

The Israeli police reported that the assailants, armed with an M16 and a pistol, arrived at the scene in a vehicle and targeted civilians waiting at the bus station.

Swift action by security forces and a nearby civilian led to the neutralization of the attackers, who were identified as residents of East Jerusalem. Subsequent investigations revealed ammunition and weapons inside their vehicle.

Security camera footage, broadcasted by Israel’s Channel 12, captured the chilling moments of the attack. The gunmen were seen exiting a white car, brandishing firearms, and advancing towards the innocent crowd. The footage concludes with the attackers being confronted and taken down.

Reports indicate that the gunmen are brothers linked to Hamas terrorists and have both spent time in Israeli prison for terror-related offences.

Emergency services, including the Israeli ambulance service and Magen David Adom, promptly responded to the scene. Eight seriously wounded victims were evacuated to nearby hospitals.

Tragically, a 24-year-old woman, a 73-year-old man in critical condition, and another individual succumbed to their injuries.

This devastating incident occurred just as Israel and Hamas agreed to extend a truce for the seventh day, moments before its expiration. The Israeli military announced the continuation of the temporary pause in fighting in the Gaza Strip.
