CAF Confederation Cup: Rivers United ready for ASEC Mimosa test

Rivers United head coach, Stanley Eguma has said his side is well prepared for the CAF Confederation Cup Group B clash against ASEC Mimosa of Cote d’Ivoire.

The matchday two encounter is billed for Sunday (today) at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.

The Nigeria champions started their group stage campaign on a disappointing note going down to 3-0 defeat against Congolese side, Diable Noirs last weekend.

Rivers United desperately need a win to get their campaign back on track.

“We are expecting a very tough game and as a matter of fact, we have to be ready and we are perfecting our strategy,” Eguma said during his interaction with the media ahead of the game.

“We lost the last game because there are some mistakes and lapses in the defence and we failed to convert our chances.”

ASEC Mimosa drew 0-0 with Democratic Republic of Congo club, DC Motema Pembe in their first group game.
