Former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni arrived at Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s Panvel farmhouse ahead of the actor’s 60th‑birthday celebration, which is set for December 27. Dhoni was accompanied by his wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva, and the veteran cricketer, dressed casually, politely asked paparazzi to move aside so his vehicle could proceed.
Although Dhoni retired from international cricket in August 2020, he remains one of the sport’s most popular figures. Over a 15‑year career he played 98 T20Is, 350 ODIs and 90 Tests after debuting in 2004, and he is the only captain to have won all three ICC white‑ball titles. He continues to lead the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League, having secured five IPL titles as captain.
In recent news, CSK coach Stephen Fleming explained the team’s decision to sign Sanju Samson during the IPL 2026 auction. Fleming said the move is part of a succession plan, anticipating Dhoni’s eventual retirement, and highlighted Samson’s international quality as an opener that fits the team’s long‑term strategy. The IPL 2026 season is slated to begin on March 26, and CSK will aim to defend their title with Samson’s addition.
Dhoni’s visit to Salman Khan’s farmhouse comes just before the upcoming IPL season, underscoring his continued influence and popularity in cricket as CSK prepares for a strong campaign.
