Serie A: Mourinho banned for making ‘cry-baby’ gesture to Monza fans

Roma manager Jose Mourinho has been suspended for one Serie A fixture after making a “provocative” gesture towards the Monza bench.

Mourinho was shown a red card by the referee in the second-half stoppage time of the game.

The former Inter Milan coach made a ‘cry-baby’ gesture towards the opponents’ bench after Stephan El Shaarawy scored a late winner.

Serie A’s sports judge announced on Tuesday that the 60-year-old is banned from the touchline for his side’s next game.

The ruling means Mourinho will miss Roma’s trip to his former team, Inter.
