Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom wins via knockout at ONE Fight Night 38

Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom, the reigning ONE women’s atomweight kickboxing world champion, delivered a dominant performance at ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu, held at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on December 6. The 23-year-old Thai athlete defeated Polish opponent Martyna Dominczak via technical knockout in a three-round atomweight Muay Thai bout, scoring three knockdowns in a single round.

According to Lukjaoporongtom, her punching power was the decisive factor in the fight, as Dominczak struggled to withstand the constant attack. In a post-fight interview, she stated, “I think it’s just because of the power of my punches, and if she were to get up again and the fight were to continue, I think she would go down again.”

The victory marks a successful return to Muay Thai for Lukjaoporongtom, who easily overcame a highly regarded opponent. Fans in North America can watch the replay of ONE Fight Night 38: Andrade vs. Baatarkhuu on Amazon Prime Video.

Lukjaoporongtom’s next goal is to become a two-sport ONE world champion, with her sights set on the ONE women’s atomweight Muay Thai world title. She is targeting reigning champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues of Brazil in her next bout. Additionally, Lukjaoporongtom has expressed interest in transitioning to mixed martial arts competition, a move she has always considered.

The Thai athlete’s ambitions underscore her growing reputation as a formidable force in the world of martial arts. With her impressive performance at ONE Fight Night 38, Lukjaoporongtom has reinforced her position as a top contender in the atomweight division. As she pursues her goals, fans and pundits alike will be watching her progress with interest.
