MS Dhoni visits Salman Khan’s farmhouse ahead of birthday

Former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni has arrived at Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s Panvel farmhouse, ahead of the latter’s 60th birthday celebration. Salman Khan is set to turn 60 on December 27. Dhoni, accompanied by his family, including wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva, was seen arriving at the farmhouse in a car. The veteran cricketer, dressed in casual attire, politely asked paparazzi to move out of the way to allow his vehicle to proceed.

Despite retiring from international cricket in August 2020, Dhoni remains a highly popular figure in the sport. With a career spanning over 15 years, he has featured in 98 T20Is, 350 ODIs, and 90 Tests since his debut in 2004. Dhoni is the only captain in history to have won all three ICC titles in the white-ball format. He continues to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), with whom he has won five titles as captain.

In recent developments, CSK coach Stephen Fleming discussed the team’s decision to sign Sanju Samson during the IPL 2026 auction. Fleming explained that the move was part of the team’s succession planning, considering that Dhoni will eventually retire. Fleming stated that Sanju Samson is an international-quality player who can fulfill the role of an opener, and his signing is part of the team’s long-term planning.

The IPL 2026 season is expected to commence on March 26. Dhoni’s visit to Salman Khan’s farmhouse comes ahead of the upcoming season, where CSK will look to defend their title. With the signing of Sanju Samson, the team is gearing up for a strong performance in the upcoming season. As the cricket world looks forward to the new season, Dhoni’s involvement with CSK and his continued popularity remain significant factors in the sport.
