Tragic Accident: Three Dead as Motorcycle Collides with Car in Governor Umahi’s Convoy

Reports just coming in reveal that three individuals from Ezza South Local Government Area have lost their lives in an accident involving Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi’s convoy. According to eyewitness accounts, the victims were on a motorcycle when they collided with a car from the governor’s convoy on the road leading to Muhammadu Buhari International Airport.

The tragic incident occurred shortly after Governor Umahi and Prince Arthur Eze had commissioned a flyover named after the latter in Abaomege locality of Onicha LGA. The victims of the accident had apparently dropped the state governor off at the airport and were returning to town when the crash occurred.

The identities of the victims remain unknown at this time, and the car involved in the accident has not been identified. It is reported that the casualties were struck by an advance team from the governor’s convoy.

Prince Arthur Eze, who was present at the scene of the accident along with the state’s deputy governor, Eric Kelechi Igwe, consoled the families of the victims before ordering that they be taken to the hospital. Afterward, they left for Enugu State.

The motorcycle and the car involved in the accident were severely damaged and cannot be repaired. Details about the victims and the vehicle have not yet been released, and investigations are ongoing.

This tragic incident serves as a reminder that road safety is of utmost importance, and it is the responsibility of everyone to ensure that they are abiding by traffic rules to avoid such occurrences.
